A Tough-As-Nails Marine’s Mission To Give Hope To College Students

Marines are known for their strength and endurance — but a well kept secret is that they also have big hearts. Do you think the secret to happiness is fame or fortune? Most people do. That is what makes former United States Marine, Kevin Hynes, a true American hero. His duty serving his country didn’t end with his military career. This tough-as-nails guy says that he finds true happiness when continuing to serve his community!

He is so committed to the idea that he built his entire civilian career around it.

Kevin is an ordained minister and graduate of Baptist College of Florida. He currently serves as the Campus Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at the University of Georgia, where coaches and players affectionately call him “Chappy.” He is happily married to his wife, Mikki, and they have a son, Elijah, and a daughter, Noelle.

Kevin served in the United States Marine Corps from 1983 – 1987. He then served his community in Florida as a Deputy Sheriff and Police Officer before finally achieving his highest honor serving Christ as Chaplain to the University of Georgia Bulldogs Football Team.

With Chappy around there is never a dull moment! He is a true modern day super-hero — passionate, caring, nurturing and inspiring all in the same second. He truly brings the best out of everyone around him. If you are ever blessed with the opportunity to meet Chappy, be prepared to hang on for an exciting ride, because this man rarely stops!

He can’t — because there are always others to take care of. People who need his guidance and inspiration.

Chappy’s passion is to introduce people to GOD through a relationship with JESUS CHRIST in hopes that they will grow and use their influence to impact others for HIM.
